How soon should I expect a call from a prescreened contractor?

You should hear from potential contractors within 48 hours from the time you submit your request.

How are the contractors prescreened?

Before we allow contractors to partner with us, they must complete a thorough screening process. We check their insurance, licensing if applicable, and most importantly-we check references for craftsmanship quality before allowing contractors to receive leads. They must also maintain a 3-star average from their customer-rated report cards to remain members.

How many contractors are members of donkeybid.com?

We are constantly receiving applications from contractors eager to join our service; therefore, our pool of contractors is continually growing. You should receive at least 3 bids on every request you submit.

Is this service really free? Where is the fine print?

Do not worry, you will not find any fine print. Our service will always be free to you, the homeowner. Contractors are charged a per-lead fee, as well as a membership fee to keep our business running profitably.

Is donkeybid.com affiliated with any particular contractor?

No, we are only a portal for customers and contractors to come together, and we will not recommend a particular contractor. This is what makes our unique service fair to all parties involved, and helps us to run a smooth operation.

I have more questions. Can I contact you before I decide to use your service?

Yes, you can contact us anytime at info@donkeybid.comor call us during our normal business hours, which are 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday, and 12:00-4:00, Saturday and Sunday.

Am I obligated to choose a contractor?

No, you are not obligated to choose a contractor. Keep in mind that our contractors are purchasing the right to bid on your project. We try our best to make sure they are only receiving top-notch leads. If you are not happy with any of the contractors bidding on your project, you are under no obligation to use their services and will be billed nothing.

I do not reside in Houston, but only live a few miles outside of town. Can I submit a request?

We can fulfill almost any request submitted in the Houston area and surrounding communities. If we do not have member contractors in your area now, it is likely that we will in the near future. All you have to do is submit a request to find out.

I think my job may be too small. Should I still submit a request?

No job is too small. We will find someone to meet your needs, no matter how small the project is.

I think my project may be too big for your contractors to handle. What are your size limitations?

We have contractors available for all job sizes, even large commercial projects. Simply submit your request and the appropriate service providers will contact you.

I don't see the category I need. What should I do?

If you do not see your category or subcategory listed, send an email to leads@donkeybid.com, or call during our normal business hours. We will do our best to accommodate you and add your project category.

Where can I find information about the contractors bidding on my project?

Log into the donkeybid.com Web site and click on "My Profile." Under your job request, you will see the number of contractors who have purchased your project lead. Here, you will find a profile button. Click this button to discover more about your responding contractors. You can also read customer reviews posted on the site.
