How many leads will I receive?

Your lead potential is directly proportional to the number type of categories in which you are enrolled. Obviously, some categories are more popular and those categories may receive more leads than others.

How do you prescreen contractors?

Our contractors must carry general liability insurance, have good customer references, and carry the required state licensing, if applicable. They must maintain at least a 3-star average as reported by our customer report card criteria and also remain in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.

What is a report card?

The report card is one feature that makes donkeybid.com so popular. It is a rating system used to gauge contractors' ethics and performance. Customers will rate you after each project you complete for them. They will report answers to questions regarding your timeliness, workmanship, and professionalism. Your rating will be made available to potential customers each time you bid on a job, and is based on the average score of all customer report cards received on your behalf. We take all necessary steps to make sure you and the customer are both treated fairly.

How many contractors will I be competing with on the leads I purchase?

You will be competing with no more than 3 other contractors for each lead provided. Remember, the first 4 contractors to accept any given lead will receive access to the contact information. After a lead has been accepted, it is closed.

What happens if I can't get in contact with a homeowner?

If, after at least 3 attempts, you are unable to contact a customer, call us and we will make every effort to contact them for you. If we are unable to reach the customer, we will credit your account for the amount of the lead fee.

What happens if my insurance expires while I am a member of DonkeyBid?

We are constantly updating and reviewing our records. If we find that you no longer have insurance or that you have let your insurance lapse by mistake, we will freeze your account. At this point, you will no longer be able to receive leads until evidence demonstrates that you have fulfilled our requirements.

What happens if my customer report card average falls below 3 stars?

Your customer report card average is directly proportional to the honesty, integrity, and craftsmanship you provide to our customers. It, alone, is what keeps our customers coming back again and again. They rely on other homeowners' feedback to help them make an educated decision on whether or not to use your services. You may dispute any customer rating that you feel is unfair, and we will be glad to investigate and adjust or remove the rating as necessary.

Can I preview as many leads as I want to?

You may preview as many leads as you would like before accepting or being charged for a lead. With this possibility, you can monitor your advertising dollar and concentrate on customers that are perfect for you.

How often will my credit card be charged?

Our billing cycle is once weekly. The charge to your card will only be for the leads you have accepted during that time period. You can always check your billing activity on our website. Log onto your account, click "My Profile," and then select "Billing."

Can I receive my leads by fax?

You may receive leads by fax, phone, or e-mail.

How do you bring customers to your website?

Advertising is the basis for our company, and is demonstrated through our unique marketing plan. We can be seen in various newspaper publications throughout the Houston metro area. We utilize direct mail campaigns by the thousands, as well as billboards, Chamber Of Commerce affiliations, and sponsorship programs; and, not to be overlooked, good old-fashioned word of mouth. A majority of membership fees is spent on advertising. Truly, the more members we have, the more we spend on advertising for you, thus creating the win-win partnership we are known for.
